Italian Salad Dressing

Make Italian Salad Dressing

If you have fresh herbs, substitute them in equal quantities. Net carb values and macros will change slightly but flavor will be heightened along with the healthful properties of fresh herbs. This recipe also makes a delicious one-hour marinade for chicken or pork. Recipe scales up well.

Yield: 16 servings
Serving size: 1/2 ounce
Net Carbs per Serving: 0.4 grams
Prep Time: 5 minutes

2⁄3 cup olive oil
1⁄4 cup red wine vinegar
1 tsp lemon juice
1 tsp rosemary, dried and rubbed
1 tsp fresh garlic, minced
1 tsp oregano, dried
1 tsp basil, dried
1⁄2 tsp sea salt
1/4 tsp red pepper flakes

  1. Blend all spices in white wine vinegar and allow to stand for 30 minutes or more.
  2. Mix in olive oil and lemon juice.
  3. Shake before serving. Refrigerate up to 1 month.
